Growing up Brandon was introduced to fishing and the outdoors by his father and grandfather. His love for the outdoors grew stronger with every trip they took, but there was something about fishing that became his passion. At the age of 16 Brandon fished his very first bass tournament on his home lake of Tims Ford in Southern Middle Tennessee. After several years of fishing at the local club level Brandon went on to fish for the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Mocs Bass Fishing Team, where he was among the founding members of the club. While competing at the college level Brandon decided he wanted to pursue a career as a professional bass fisherman, all the while dreaming of one day qualifying for the Bassmaster Elite Series.
In 2012, Brandon signed up to fish as a pro in the Bassmaster Southern Opens. He finished the year 24th in points respectively, but Brandon knew he could do better and he knew what he had to do to get there. In 2013, Brandon started out the year with a 3rd place finish at the first Southern Open of the year on Lake Toho, Florida. He backed that up with a 15th place finish at Lake Douglas in his home state of Tennessee, then a 16th place finish at Logan Martin, Alabama to become the 2013 Southern Opens points champion. In his rookie season he made the 45th Annual Bassmaster Classic with a 27th place finish in the Angler of the Year standings. He backed it up with another Classic qualification in 2015 and 2017.
Brandon knows he could not have made it this far without the help of God, his family, and his friends who have been there to support him every step of the way. Watch for Brandon as he competes in his fourth season on the Bassmaster Elite Series and Bassmaster Opens.
